March Newsletter Replay Technologies Acquired by Intel!

We are excited to announce that our portfolio company, Replay Technologies, was acquired by Intel this week! Cervin Ventures would like to congratulate CEO Oren Haimovitch Yogev, his co-founders Matteo Shapira and Aviv Shapira, and the entire Replay team on this significant achievement.

Cervin was Replay’s first investor and saw the potential for Replay’s interactive “freeD technology” to change the way people watch and interact with video from our first meeting. As Cervin co-founder Preetish Nijhawan told the Silicon Valley Business Journal:

“Cervin believes that the future of video is augmented reality, where viewers are able to step inside of what they are watching and experience it firsthand. And no one is making this kind of experience possible to viewers quite like Replay.”

Named one of the world’s top 10 most innovative companies in sports, Replay’s technology was recently showcased during Super Bowl 50 and the NBA All Star game.

The news has been covered from Israel to Silicon Valley by TechCrunch, VentureBeat, USA Today, Business Insider and more!

We also want to thank Oren for his kind words:

“Cervin Ventures has played a pivotal role in the success of our company. Five years ago, the Cervin team took a chance on a small video company that had the vision to change the way viewers experience and watch sports. The entire Replay team is grateful for all of Cervin’s support. We wouldn’t be where we are without them.”

Cervin has made over 20 investments across its two institutional funds, of which five companies, including Replay Technologies have exited. Cervin believes in investing early with exceptional founding teams across the enterprise technology space, staying deeply involved, and becoming true partners with their portfolio companies. Cervin will continue to invest in Israeli entrepreneurs that are looking for highly engaged Silicon Valley investors to partner with.

Congrats again to Replay! We can’t wait to see what exciting technological innovations they come up with at Intel.
